One of the most awaited movies of Katrina Kaif in 2010, Rajneeti(directed by Prakash Jha) is a saga of Indian politics and elections. It peeps into lives of the few who control the destiny of almost a billion Indians.It is the story of their unstoppable ambition, and their bitter and violent battle to achieve it. This is the story of people who understand power - and know how to wield it at will. It brings out the ugly face of politics, that a common man doesn't get to see.

It is a multi-starrer movie casting Naseeruddin Shah, Arjun Rampal, Nana Patekar, Ranbeer Kapoor, Ajay Devgan, Manoj Bajpai, Sarah Thompson and the bolly beauty Katrina Kaif who is said to resemble Sonia Gandhi in this movie. Bollywood industry has many expectations from the director Prakash Jha after his previous movies Gangajal and Apharan.



After reviewing the previews available over internet, one can easily point out that the character of Katrina Kaif, who plays Indu Sakseria can be paralled to Bhisma in MahaBharata who is forced into the battle ground. She had only one all-consuming love. Little did she know that her personal happiness was dependent on the changing electoral fortunes of her love, and that even a slight shift in the faultiness of political negotiation would cause a devastating earthquake in her personal life? And yet, this spirited never-say-die diva rose from the ashes of her tragedy to challenge every contender, over-turning the political future of the state.
