After Deepika Padukone (sort of) 'outed' new beau Siddarth Mallya during the release of Lafangey Parindey, all eyes are now on her ex Ranbir Kapoor who is busy promoting his upcoming release Anjaana Anjaani. Will the actor use the platform to finally admit to being in a relationship with Katrina Kaif?

RK and Kat -- together for over a year -- have been together for more than a year and are feeling the pressure of keeping their relationship a secret. The Kapoor clan has already welcomed Ms Kaif with open arms, so why hide their love, right? The answer's simple enough: Salman Khan.

Gimmick, anyone?
While Kapoor's ex has moved on, Kat's ex still believes she is single. A source close to Sallu confides, "He believes the Ranbir-Katrina romance to be a gimmick to promote their films together." It started on the sets on Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahaani and became stronger during Raajneeti. They were slated to work together in Anurag Basu's Silence but Katrina walked out due to script problems. But Katrina and Ranbir are slated to go on a world tour next year.

The couple who are totally committed to each other are still resorting to meeting secretly -- Ranbir's or her houses mostly, when they are in the city. When they are away, their secret meeting place is London. Recently, he took a few days off from the shooting of Rockstar and flew to UK from Prague, while she took off for a two-day break to London while shooting in Spain for Zoya Akhtar's Zindagi Na Milega Dobaara.

All approve
A source close to Ranbir says, "They are very much in love. Katrina has even met all his uncles and aunts, who all approve of her. Even his parents, mom Neetu and dad Rishi are very fond of her. She often drops by at their Bandra home to meet them even when Ranbir isn't in town. The Kapoor khandaan is not in favour of their beta hiding his feelings for the girl he loves but they understand how this could cause problems for Kat.

Also, in the past, the Kapoor lad and Khan have had a problem, an episode they don't want repeated. The only way the young lovers can spend time together without upsetting their lives, is to do more films together."
An insider adds, "The actress has been sending feelers openly to producers to cast them together. She's made it clear that if they are cast together, her price can be negotiated."

Time is now!
Ranbir feels that the time to flaunt his relationship with Katrina, is at hand. It is learnt that they will make a public statement by making a public appearance together in coming months a la Kareena-Saif two years ago. Not too long ago, Kat had confessed to a friend that she didn't want to announce she was seeing someone else when Salman was going through a low phase. Khan's riding the crest of success now and she feels like it's a good time for her to break the bad news to him.

Tour talk
Ranbir Kapoor will go on his first world tour across 16 nations along with father Rishi from June 2011. Rishi will not only accompany him but also co-produce the event with the Moranis (scripting, creative and production). While Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra have confirmed to doing the show, speculations are rife about Ranbir's ex Deepika Padukone also being a part of it. Ranbir will feature in a series of concerts to be held in different parts of Europe, America, Canada, UAE and South Africa.

Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone have been at loggerheads ever since Ranbir Kapoor and it's been one big game of oneupmanship between them since then.

The latest bone of contention is Shirish Kunder's Joker, a co-production between Akshay's Hari Om Productions and Farah Khan and Shirish's Three's Company.

One has to go!
Says a source, "Deepika and Katrina both think that they are doing the film without the other knowing about it. Katrina had spoken to Akshay during the shooting of Farah's Tees Maar Khan and has taken it for granted that she is doing Joker. Deepika's inclusion in the casting is a recent development and she suits the script better. Akki is in a dilemma and is tearing his hair out figuring out the best way to tell one of the girls to take a walk."

Making it happen
Akshay's dilemma stems from the fact that while he's close to Katrina (they're a popular pair and have delivered several hits), Deepika is going out of her way to be accommodating in giving her dates.
The source adds, "Akshay has given his dates for January and Deepika can offer her dates for the month as well."

What's at stake
While Deepika is ready to negotiate her price as well, things have worked out for Katrina as well with the Dostana schedule being postponed to March. She too will be available in January. The trouble is Akki doesn't want to hurt either girl's feelings. The role is a very glamorous one and not being chosen would hurt either's prospects."

And that's why...
The source adds that, "That's why Katrina was upset about reports of Akki and her having a fallout. Kat wants the world to know that she's still very close to him."
Says Shirish, "We are in the process of casting the female lead opposite Akshay for Joker. Top names are being considered. It is a performance- oriented role. Akshay and I will take the final call in a week."
Akshay remained unavailable for comment.

Salman to shoot with Akshay, Katrina for Tees Maar Khan

ollywood stars Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan are set to share screen space in Farah Khan's Tees Maar Khan.

"Looking forward to our shoot after so long... Enjoy brother," Akshay posted on Salman's Twitter page.

Akshay is playing the lead along with Katrina Kaif and Salman will make a special appearance in the song. Tees Maar Khan is scheduled for a December release.

"Actually even before I had finalised Salman for the qawalli, the media had already made up its mind to have him as the man who would give company to Akshay,” said Farah.

“To begin with, I and Salman had a good laugh over it but then later both of us thought it won't be a bad idea after all. Salman is a sweet heart,” said the director. “The moment he realised I was serious, he was game for it. He is a very honest and straightforward man and immediately said chal yeh song karte hain, maza aayega.”

Meanwhile, Akshay also took the opportunity to congratulate Salman on the success of his latest release Dabangg.

"Salman you are in your elements man! You have given everyone a reason to dance this Eid," wrote Akshay.

Akshay and Salman earlier featured together in films like Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and Jaan-E-Mann: Let's Fall in Love... Again.
