Katrina Kaif's Car Decorated with Her Favourite Cartoons The Aristo Cats

Katrina Kaif’s favoured seat in her car is the left rear one, and she has decorated it with stickers of her favourite cartoons

Katrina's Car Decorated With Cartoon Stickers

Not for nothing is she called Kat. Her favourite cartoon is The AristoCats and the reference point for her character in Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan is one of the cats from the cartoon serial. And if you think that’s a lot of cats you ain’t seen nothing yet.

Katrina Kaif’s car reflects her love for the cartoon character as well as speaks tonnes for the state of mind she is currently in. The left rear seat is surrounded by small stickers of all that makes her happy…she calls it her ‘happy space’.

“When I was dubbing for Raajneeti, the little urchins on the road would recognise my car when it would stop at a particular signal and would insist I buy stickers from them,” she explains with a smile. Not only did she buy them, she decorated her happy space with them and now they are the source of a lot of joy for her.

For a girl who is feted every day and who can buy anything that money can, Katrina has obviously learnt that happiness and money have very little to do with each other.

Katrina Kaif takes local Taxi to go to Airport

Katrina Kaif seems to like public transport a lot. We hope you've enjoyed our previous posts After Auto, Katrina Kaif boards Train and Katrina escapes in Auto Rickshaw after watching Ishqiya. Now a couple of days back, she was supposed to fly to Bangalore for a promotional event of her upcoming movie Raajneeti. The flight was on time, and her driver did not show up. Turned out he was stuck in a traffic jam.

Not willing to miss the flight, Katrina took matters into her own hands. She took her luggage along and hailed a cab to the airport. Even as the taxi whizzed past the routine morning traffic, the cabbie stole a glance in the rear view mirror only to find Katrina Kaif as his passenger.

Katrina arrived at the airport in time to join Ranbir Kapoor and director Prakash Jha, but the duo were not very pleased with Katrina’s blasé attitude towards her security.

Katrina Kaif’s private 'Happy Space'

Away for the hectic back-breaking work routines in studios, Katrina Kaif has created a little corner for herself which she calls her ‘happy space’. This corner, or ‘happy space’, is the rear seat of her car which she has decorated with funny cartoon stickers.

Katrina reveals that when she was dubbing for director Prakash Jha’s political drama Raajneeti, she came across a couple of street kids who spotted her car at a traffic signal and tried to sell cartoon stickers to her.

The good soul that she is, Katrina not just promptly bought the stickers, but also pasted them in the rear of her car.

Now, whenever she’s down and broody, all she has to do is sneak into her ‘happy space’ and just the sight of those funny cartoon stickers brings the smile back to her face.

All hail Katrina Kaif ;)

Did Katrina Kaif Undergo A Lip Surgery In Italy?

Bollywood sizzling actress, Katrina Kaif is back from Italy after enjoying her holiday. But according to reports, the actress has returned with fuller lips than what she had possessed when she left.

A source said, “Katrina has always wanted shapelier lips. She recently returned from a long holiday almost three weeks. During her trip to the USA for the Independence Day parade in Houston and Chicago, everyone first noticed the marked change in her appearance. Her lips were still puffy at the time, but now the swelling has vanished”.
But the actress has dismissed the reports and cited them as ridiculous. “It’s not true. I have not had any work done on my lips and to say that is ridiculous”Katrina Kaif said.
The source close to the actress claimed that she cannot take any medication right now because she is already on strong medication for her skin.

“She can’t afford to take any medication right now as she’s on a very strong medication for her skin. It is called Roaccutane and she’s under treatment for it under Dr Neena , a cosmetologist from Mumbai, for the last six months and will be under medication for six months more. The medicine is so strong thatKatrina can’t take any other medicine during this time and in fact, because Roaccutane is so harsh it gives rise to swollen, dry and chapped lips which gives the impression as if she has done something to her lips”, the source said.

Katrina Kaif avoids Salman Khan at shooting

We had informed you that Saif and Katrina Kaif avoid each other, now its time for Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif.

They did shooting full-day next to each other, yet avoided eye contact with each other. Anyone who witnessed the vibes between Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif on Monday, would describe  them as: Cold. The pair who were dating until last year, appeared to have parted ways amicably but now it comes to light that they are not even on speaking terms.

Salman has been shooting at Mehboob Studios for Dabangg, while Kat was there for a photo-session for  Zoya Akhtar's film with Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol and Farhan Khan. A witness present reveals, "Not a word was exchanged between the estranged couple."

Full of tension
The source adds, "SalKat were shooting in the same premises for almost the entire day but didn't even bother to go say hello to each other. The air in Mehboob was rife with tension with people speculating what would happen when Khan and Kat stepped outside their vans and bumped into each other."

Both Sallu's and Kat's sentries (read staff) were posted outside the vanity vans to alert them about the movements of the other. Continues the source, "It wasn't just the ex-lovers who kept their distance, even Salman's one time prot ©g © Hrithik didn't drop in on Khan's set to greet him. The last time, they were in Mehboob, (when Duggu was shooting for Guzaarish) Salman had gone to Roshan Jr's van and chatted with him.

However this time everyone stuck to their individual spaces and left after pack-up."
When contacted Katrina Kaif says, "It's untrue. We all had lunch together."

I once dreamt of going to NASA, says Katrina Kaif

Can you imagine the lovely Katrina Kaif as a NASA scientist? Well, the recent ‘Queen of Bollywood’ dreamt of going to NASA at one point of time in her life. Talking about her weird dreams, the actress revealed to a news daily, "I always used to make a world in my head and live in that. I always wanted to be something unusual. Some of the dreams I remember, they may sound stupid - I wanted to be a firefighter, I wanted to be a stunt woman, I wanted to go to NASA. Acting was something to fancy."

The gorgeous Katrina Kaif turned philosophical while reminiscing on her successful career. Talking about destiny and success, the actress said, “"It`s (success) destiny, no one can plan it. There are many people who are connected with the industry because of their father, mother or other family members; still they are not able to achieve what is termed as success in the industry.”

“You can come here, make two or three films, your co-stars could be your friends - all this you can plan but you can`t plan which film would be successful. The miracle that happened with my life has been the success of my films. Because, had those films not been successful, no one would have done anything for me," Katrina added.

Katrina became a household name after Salman re-launched her in the 2005 romantic comedy ‘Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya’. After that she gave a string of hits, including ‘Namastey London’, ‘Partner’, ‘Welcome’, ‘Singh Is Kinng’ and critically acclaimed ‘New York’.

Talking about Salman, Kats said, “Salman had been always there, more than anything to guide because I didn`t know anything about the industry. What would remain special in my mind is that from the very beginning Salman told me that I will achieve this success in the industry. And at that point it was too far off."

She is now eager to take more responsibilities and do more diverse roles like the one she is doing in Prakash Jha`s "Raajneeti`, where she plays a politician.

"Till now I have done a genre of films. People have accepted me, loved me and have given me so much support. I never imagined getting so much. But I feel that there are other types of films to do. See other contemporary actors, they have done much more diverse roles.”

"People can say that the success ratio of my films has been very, very good, but I still feel people should see me on other kinds of films too...”

"May be something like a remake of `Sita Aur Gita`...In `Raajneeti`, I have more responsibility. But you will have to remember that there I am with six very important guys, all have very important roles," said Katrina.

Katrina Kaif turns Amitabh Bachchan's daughter "Beautiful beti"

Raajneeti is yet to release but the talented filmmaker Prakash Jha is not planning to sit idle; in fact, he has already planned his next, that too with Katrina Kaif and Amitabh Bachchan.

Jha has signed Kat to play Big B’s daughter in the film which again has a political theme. The movie will deal with the job reservation issue and is named ‘Aarakshan’. According to reports, Amitabh’s character is said to be inspired by his own father, the famous Hindi poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan.

It can be recalled that Kat’s debut film Boom had Big B and after that Sarkar is the only movie in which they worked together. Now, they will play baap-beti. ‘Aarakshan’ also has Jha’s favourite Ajay Devgan.

After ‘Raajneeti’, the director has again managed to pull the casting coup of sorts.

Katrina Kaif seems to have learnt the Rajneeti of the filmdom

Katrina Kaif
surely has proved her acting caliber on the silver screen. From her first film Boom to Rajneeti She has experimented with her look, performances and above all she has improved dancing as well as her speech skills too.

Undoubtedly, the directors and the producers have broken the myth that she is just a glam doll. The credit nonetheless goes to Prakash Jha for his film Rajneeti in which Kats has taken the trouble of dubbing the dialogues in pure Hindi.

A heart to heart rendezvous follows with Lipika Varma from Sampurn Media

So how was it working with Prakash Jha who believes in hard hitting subjects with purely Hindi dialogues?

Yes! It was not difficult for me I can mug up ten pages at a stretch. I have an accent problem but I've tried to manage it well. In fact, when I sat down to surf some of the real characters from the political arena; I thought that in the quest of getting into some real political character, I was going wrong. Hence I decided to follow my reel character only. As a modern contemporary youth, I have tried to get the body language of Priyanka Gandhi. But by no means can you compare my reel character to any living political characters. You guys are just comparing me to Sonia Gandhi because I too belong to an English mother, with fair skin and black hair which is not really so." Quips Katrina.

You came into this industry fresh, who do you give credit to as your 'Godfather'?

Ya! I am not one belonging to the Bollywood industry. Everyone has a God Father. I have not one but many Godfathers who may have helped me attain the kind of success I have achieved in this short span of my career. Salman and Akshay Kumar have definitely helped me get to the horizon. I would also credit the blessings showered upon me by the almighty God which is why I have been able to achieve success.

It's the survival of the fittest. And you are on the top of the female lead stars. How do you feel about it?

I feel good to be topping the list. If this comparison brings me on the top of the list why will I not like ranking. Human tendency is such that we love to be number one. Why will I not like the number game? But there ought to be a fair competition. We need not pursue wrong ways to just boost up our career. Our work needs to speak more than our action/words. If you say I'm topping the list in the number one game then I really feel elated.

Is it true that you are essaying Madhubala's character in the biopic on Kishore Kumar?

I am open to doing good films. Being in the profession I need to know the script, if it is going to work or not. Yes! I do discuss it with my close people but the final decision rests with me. I am in the process of sorting out the details with UTV Productions. Nothing has been finalized as yet. I feel the media is in a bit of a hurry to publish news even before confirming it, which was not the case earlier.

What profession would you have pursued if you weren't a part of the Bollywood industry?

I have always been a day dreamer. Probably because I had a sense of insecurity as we have been wanderers. We never were stationed in one place. I always loved to be a fire-fighter also performing stunts would always fancy me. I love to live in a castle built world.

You seem to be very excited about working with Hrithik, is it true?

Yes! I'm very excited about working with Hrithik tentatively in a movie titled Zindagi Mile Na Dobara. This film is surely going to be a path-breaking and a youthful film. I am sure it will be a brilliant film. My role is that of a free spirited girl. I'm really looking forward to work with Hrithik Roshan. Although it is a difficult character but I will surely be able to perform to the best of my ability.

How do you manage to stay in such a great shape?

I hate doing regular gym. I feel good exercise twice or thrice a week only. I remember how my trainer of Tees Maar Khan made me do rigorous exercises. But now I just tell him to schedule it only twice a week. I believe in maintaining a proper diet. I maintain myself by following the right kind of lifestyle.

I followed Priyanka Vadra, not Sonia Gandhi

It’s not Congress president Sonia Gandhi but her daughter Priyanka Vadra whom Bollywood actor Katrina Kaif followed to prepare for her role in the dark political thriller “Raajneeti”. But her character is not based on either of them.

“As part of the basic exercise I followed Priyanka because she is a very strong person. I feel she is very independent and a right blend of modern values, ethics and everything. And she is young,” Katrina, 25, told IANS in an interview.

“Prakashji (director Prakash Jha) liked Priyanka’s movement and that was only to see a person who is independent and modern and who is a leader. But my character is not at all based on her,” she said.

Commenting on the character’s reported resemblance to Sonia Gandhi, “I spent some years in England as you all know that my mother is English. Sonia mam also has a foreign connection. She wears saris, I too wear saris in the film, so people connected, which is quite logical. I can understand it.

“What I feel most importantly is people should understand that I am not playing Sonia Gandhi because then they will come with a wrong expectation.”

Scheduled for a June 4 release, “Raajneeti” revolves round a plot where Ajay Devgn, Arjun Rampal, Nana Patekar, Naseeruddin Shah, Ranbir Kapoor and Manoj Bajpai will be seen playing political games for power.

Initially Katrina didn’t want to to do “Raajneeti”, but the story compelled her.

“A lot of people ask me why I don’t do serious films. I don’t enjoy it. I like fun in cinema. I like romance, I like songs… Initially, when I had the meeting, I thought that I would go to Prakashji and say it’s not my kind of space.

“I went to meet him in between. He narrated the story to me and I felt this film has as much excitement as any other

films I was doing. I thought I should give it a try. When I liked the story, why should I say no?” said Katrina.

“Raajneeti” is not only about politics for power but also politics within relations, she says.

“He (Jha) has taken a very popular subject. You know it’s not just the raajneeti about what’s happening in the Lok

Sabha, it’s more about the politics in life.

“It’s on the politics in the country, politics within your own family, between two lovers, between husband and wife. It’s a politics of relationships as well as the politics of government or something like that,” said Katrina.

The emotional sequences in the movie bothered Katrina a lot.

“In the film, I didn’t have to get into the political side of it because when I come into the political arena, there is nothing much I had to do except deliver my campaigning dialogues for which I had to understand a kind of body language. That was a very basic exercise. Prakashji had given me lots of videos to watch. My memory is very good. I can remember 10 pages of dialogues; so that’s not a worry.

“The things that I had to try, understand and think about was the emotional scenes in the movie. I think you cannot do a scene if you have to find a connection to it. If there is someone very close to me and I like him but that person doesn’t love me, how would I behave in that situation? In those scenes, I only tried to understand from my own personal experience and from someone close to me,” said Katrina.

Asked if she would have taken “Raajneeti”if it had come at the beginning of her career, she said: “When I entered the industry, I didn’t have many choices. So I don’t think I would have got the choice. If it had come, I would have taken it. It has a great cast and great director.

“I think it’s more difficult when you have more choices. I just try to analyse it, and go by instinct. You can sit, you can plan, you can calculate, see it through a microscope and you are only going to end up more confused.”
